SUMMARY:NYLT National Youth Leadership Training 2026
DESCRIPTION:Please note: Registration is to be completed by unit leaders only \nWhat: National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an action-packed program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experiences they can use in their troops\, crews\, or ships. It’s a hands on\, how to\, course delivered in a unit and patrol centered\, outdoor setting. \nWho: All participants must be a registered member of a Scouting unit. \nScouts BSA: must be at least 13 and hold the rank of First Class. They must have completed “Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops”. \nVenturers and Sea Scouts: must be at least 14\, or 13 and have completed eighth grade\, and fall within the maximum age allowance for their program. They must have completed Introduction to Leadership Skills for Crews or Ships. It is recommended that they have had at least one year of camping experience. \nWhen & Where: Pre-course meeting:  \nPlease attend a pre-course meeting at Treasure Valley East Lodge on Thursday\, June 4th\, 2026 at 7:30pm. \nWeeklong Course:  June 28th- July 3rd at Treasure Valley Scout Reservation (limit 48 Scouts) \nCost: $440.00 per Scout (fee includes course materials\, meals\, t-shirt\, and more!) \nUpdated Course Flyer 2026 \nFinancial Aid is available to those who meet the criteria.
