Treasure Valley Provisional 2023

Whether your Troop is coming to Treasure Valley this Summer or not…Scouts can add a week of fun and adventure to their plans for the Summer as a Provisional Scout.

Scouts attending Treasure Valley Scout Reservation with their troop or crew will register and pay through the unit. Scouts in our Provisional program who cannot attend with their unit, or who wish to attend additional weeks, may use the options below to register and pay online. Early bird registration fee is $495.

Returning Camper Discount – If this provisional registration is your scout’s second (or more) week of camp, please enter the following coupon code encore2023. You will be asked to note the camp and week your scout will be attending with their unit or another provisional week. (This coupon can only be used for our Provisional Scouts, BSA Program).

Below you will find the button to the TVSR 2023 Quick Links. There you will find the Program Guide. This contains all the program information you will need to get your scout ready for camp. Registration for the Horsemanship Merit Badge, Drone and ATV Safety Program and the Cowboy Action Shooting waiver can be found here as well.

Provisional Scouts will make up their own troop for the week called the ‘Mohegans’. The program guide contains the merit badge schedule and the link under the program guide is the form you will use to select merit badges. Please email them anytime after June 1st to our program director, cameron.ganong@heartofnewenglandbsa.org.

Unit Photos: Your scout will be part of the Mohegans and we will be taking a unit photo. Download the Photo order form in the Quick links!

All scouts need to submit a HEALTH FORM that will be collected at check in on the day you arrive at camp. The link to the health form can be found in the quick link above.

Week 1 July 2 – 8 (Celebrate the 4th Week)
Reduced camp fee – go Provo Week 1 and only pay $395! 
Week 2 July 9 – 15 (sold out)*
Week 3 July 16 – 22
Week 4 July 23 – 29
Week 5 July 30 – August 5 (Eagle Week)

*There will be no provisionals this week as the camp is at maximum capacity.

Eagle Week July 30 – August 5

Note: Registration as a Provisional Week 5 does not automatically enroll you in the Eagle Week Program. A Scout must elect to participate in this program. Please use the following link to register: TVSR Eagle Week 2023.  

Join with others on the trail to Eagle and work on completing those Eagle-Required badges, and have fun doing it! Eagle week badges include Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communications, Personal Management, and Family Life. This is also an excellent opportunity to learn about the Eagle project process with the dedicated leaders from Troop 161 in Sturbridge. 

The Eagle week program will meet all morning. We will rotate through the badges based on the needs of the scouts attending 30- 45 min classes.

If a scout does not need the class we are teaching, he will have time to do the homework and research required for the badges they are taking. We will also give a life to Eagle workshop early in the week.

If a Scout wants to take a merit badge in camp in the afternoon they will be able to, as the leadership of the program will try to meet the needs of the scouts. By the end of the week, the Scout will need to sit down with one of the leaders and review their understanding of the material to be signed off.
