Perfect your skills and earn your badge!
This Merit Badge Rifle Shooting Course introduces students to the knowledge,
skills and attitude necessary for owning and using a rifle safely. Through this
course, the students will learn about rifle parts and operation, ammunition, gun
safety, rifle shooting fundamentals, and rifle shooting activities.
Scouts will be given an opportunity complete all requirements* to earn the Scouts BSA Rifle Merit Badge.
Scout Shooting qualification will be done on the indoor range using .22cal bolt action rifles.
*If the Scouts cannot complete the shooting requirements, they will be given a partial for the merit badge.
o Classroom instruction and live fire qualifications
o Indoor range for live fire activities
o All ammunition and firearms provided
o Snacks and water will be supplied
o Scouts should bring their own lunch
o Open to scouts who are starting or completing the badge
