GENERAL INFORMATION

Treasure Valley West Camp
Saturday, January 25, 2025
Registration and Check In: 8:00-8:45pm
Derby runs 9:00 am – 2:45pm
Awards presentation and Closing Ceremony outside the West Lodge at 3:00pm
Event ends 3:15 pm.
Cost: $6 per Scout (includes patch)
Adults are fee
Extra patches $3

REGISTRATION

Select and complete the Unit Registration Ticket below ($0)

Select the number of Scouts you’d like to register

Email to KGL125@aol.com on or before January 10, 2025 with the following information: Troop number, Town, anticipated number of patrols, anticipated number of Scouts and anticipated number of adults.

LUNCH

Each patrol is responsible for supplying their own lunch.

BEVERAGES

Free hot chocolate and coffee will be available in West Lodge. Participants are responsible for bringing their own cup.

OVERNIGHT CAMPING

Units wishing to camp can make reservations by going to the HNE Reservations Site.

SLEDS

Patrols are encouraged to (but not required to) use a Klondike sled of their design choice.

FIREWOOD

No firewood may be brought to camp.

EQUIPMENT

Each sled or backpack should have this equipment. Matches, compass(es) the more the better, pencil, Scout Handbook, approx. 6’ of rope per Scout, small tarp or blanket, drinking water for each Scout, lunch, first aid kit, stretcher supplies, patrol roster including each Scout’s rank, paper, small pot.

EVENTS

Let the Troop Junior Leaders practice what events may be held based on the equipment list.

Any Units that wish to help at the event, please contact the event chairman Kirk Leigher at:

KGL125@aol.com. All volunteers will receive a participation patch for their efforts.

REGISTRATION

Units wishing to attend the Klondike Derby are asked to send an email to KGL125@aol.com on or before January 10, 2025 with the following information.

Troop number, Town, Troop Sponsor, Anticipated number of patrols, Anticipated number of Scouts

Anticipated number of adults OR register and pay online

PATCHES

New for this Klondike. If enough units register by December 10, 2024 the patches will be available the day of the derby.
