Treasure Valley Scout Reservation is pleased to announce the return of the Horsemanship Merit Badge for the 2026 summer season!
Horsemanship Merit Badge Overview
In addition to learning how to safely ride and care for horses, Scouts who earn this merit badge will gain an understanding of the instincts and behaviors of horses and humane and effective methods for training horses.
This year the program will take place at Treasure Valley and run as a typical merit badge class during block 4. Space is limited to 10 Scouts per week with registration supporting a wait list.
All Scouts must have a completed waiver submitted to the camp administration by Sunday check-in in order to participate. Waivers will be mailed to the participants on June 1st.
